Prepared for Myra McDonald, FNP-BC. This is what Google shows people in McAllen when they look for a med spa, Botox or filler, where Amori comes up, and what is holding it back. Every number here was pulled before you signed anything.
Your patients love you. Google just isn't showing you to enough of the people who haven't met you yet.
We searched from 9 spots in a grid around the office, about 2 miles apart, on Google Maps. Switch between the two searches below and tap a pin to see who ranked first there.
| Search, from near the office | Where Amori shows up |
|---|---|
| lip filler mcallen tx | #3 |
| botox mcallen tx | #6 |
| med spa mcallen tx (from about a mile north) | #13 |
| hormone replacement therapy mcallen tx | Not in the results |
Grid and searches pulled October 15 and 16, 2026. Rankings move by location and by day, so read this as a snapshot.
In order of how fast they can be fixed.
| Source | Hours it shows |
|---|---|
| Your Google profile today (seen Oct 16) | Closed during the week, opens 12 AM Saturday (24 hours on the weekend) |
| Your Google profile on Sept 25 | Mon to Fri, 10 to 6, closed weekends |
| Your website's code (not shown on the page, but Google reads it) | Mon to Sat, 9 to 6 |
When your sources disagree, Google picks one on its own, and anyone can tap "Suggest an edit" on your profile. That is how a med spa ends up looking open at midnight on a Saturday and closed on a Tuesday. People who see "Closed" usually just call the next place.
Fix: you tell us your real hours. We set them on Google, update the hours in your website's code to match, add your holiday hours, and turn down any edits Google suggests that don't match. This one we'll do for free.
Your main category is Medical clinic. "Medical spa" is listed as one of five extras, next to Health consultant, Health counselor, Health spa and Men's health physician. Every med spa that wins McAllen (The One Med Spa, Zen Beauty, Pure Med Aesthetics, Beautique, Rejuvenate, Injectify) uses Medical spa as its main category. The main category is the strongest hint you give Google about which searches you belong in.
We understand why it was set this way. Your longevity, hormone and lab work is real medicine, not spa work. But right now "Medical clinic" isn't winning those searches either: for "hormone replacement therapy mcallen tx," Amori didn't come up in the results we checked.
Fix: make Medical spa your main category, keep Medical clinic as an extra, and keep only the other extras that match what you actually offer. Then we watch your hormone and wellness searches for a few weeks to make sure they hold. If they drop, we talk about it and adjust.
On your Google profile, the Products and Services link opens a linktr.ee page instead of your own website. Someone looking for filler has to tap through a list of links to find it, and Google gets no signal that your site is where those treatments live.
Fix: point that link at your treatments page now, then at each treatment's own page once those exist (see #4). We also add your treatments as Services on the profile itself.
Your website looks great and the vision is clear. It has 8 pages, and every treatment shares one Treatments page of about 400 words. The med spas ahead of you give their main treatments their own pages: The One Med Spa has separate pages for filler, Dysport, hormone therapy and microneedling, and Zen Beauty has separate tox and fillers pages.
Google ranks each page on its own. A page that is only about filler, and answers what a patient actually wants to know (who it's for, what it treats, what a visit looks like, how long it lasts, aftercare, who does it), gives Google something to rank for "lip filler mcallen." One shared page can't do that for ten treatments at once.
Fix: start with tox and filler, since those are your priority. We write each page, you review it for medical accuracy, and nothing goes live without your OK. Then SylfirmX, biostimulators and hormone therapy.
Review count is one of the biggest reasons a business shows up across town. Every review you have is five stars, so the quality is already there. You just need more of them.
Fix: a simple ask after every visit, a text with your review link and a QR card at checkout, set up so your staff doesn't have to remember.
Monthly Google searches from McAllen, from Google's own ad data. Google groups "med spa," "medical spa" and "medspa" as one search, so they share one number.
| Search | Per month | Ad cost per click |
|---|---|---|
| med spa mcallen | 90 | $26 |
| med spa near me | 70 | $2 |
| lip filler near me | 50 | $1 |
| lip filler mcallen | 20 | $2 |
| microneedling mcallen | 10 | $1.41 |
| sylfirm x, non surgical rhinoplasty, botox training texas | 10 each | n/a |
The $26 per click on "med spa mcallen" is the useful number. Other businesses are paying that much for one visit from that search. Showing up for it in the free map results is worth real money. Google didn't report a number for Botox or hormone therapy searches at the McAllen city level, which usually means the volume is spread across many different wordings.
